Ariel Rios Robert, Cuba/England: Ariel is director of Havana University’s Conjunto Folklorico and he has taught many dance instructors at ENA (Escuela Nacional de Arte). He has 15 years experience as a professional dancer and he has performed and choreographed for international well known dance companies such as Cuba’s National Ballet. He is a specialist in the popular Cuban dances, Afro Cuban dances and modern dance. Ariel is an instructor who is used a lot at international salsa festivals.

Christian Rozet, Denmark: Christian has danced Cuban salsa for more than 10 years, five of those years at competition level. He has many years experience as an instructor in both salsa and other dance styles including: hip-hop, funk, reggaeton, samba, krump and modern dance. For the time being he is an instructor in Les Mills - Body Jam, a fitness dance concept, which is very popular around the world. Body Jam contains everything from salsa, cha-cha, jazz and modern dance.

Diana Meldgaard, Denmark: Diana is a professional dance instructor. She has her dancing school in Århus & loves the Cuban culture that is filled with music and dance. She has danced since 1996 and won "Århus Open" salsa championships in 1999. She has lived in Cuba’s capital Havana, where she has studied at the highest level at the national dancing school ENA. Moreover in 2002, she has received private instruction from teachers from Conjunto Folklórico Nacional de Cuba. Diana has received instruction from dancing instructors from Cuba, Denmark, England, Italy, France, Spain, and USA & has many dance qualifications specialising in salsa & Afro Cuban dance. She has danced and choreographed different salsa shows in Denmark and abroad. She is also the lead singer in one of Denmark’s best salsa orchestras “Little Havana”.

Erodys Castillo, Cuba/Denmark: Erodys has taken his dancing education in Cuba and he has more than 20 years experience both through his education and as a dancer and instructor within the following dance styles: Salsa, Rueda de Casino, Son, ChaChaCha, Rumba, Afro and Reggaeton. Erodys came to Denmark in 2008 an opened his own dance studio. He has taught many places in Denmark and abroad. His best quality as an instructor, apart from his vast experience, is that he is a very positive, humoristic and resourceful teacher. Geldys Morales, Cuba: Geldys started dancing when she was 16 years old at the Cabaret school "Tropicana". After that she started her carrier as a professional dancer at the biggest theatres in Havana. In 1998 the dance company “J.J.“ was formed with director Johannes Garcia. It is here she gained her knowledge about Cuban folk and popular dances. Geldys has participated in many different international festivals in Venezuela, Austria, Denmark and Norway. At the moment she is an instructor in Norway. Geldys has an outstanding control of her body and she is very skilled at transmitting her artistic experience in the classes.

Johanna Haapanen, Finland: Almost before she could walk, Johanna was a folk dancer. After this she danced ballroom for 15 years, the latter years as a competition dancer. Johanna has many years experience as an instructor in ball room and Latin-American dance. Three years ago she lost her heart to Salsa. Since then Salsa has become her biggest passion and she has performed with a number of salsa bands. Together with her dance partner Roynet Peréz she won bronze at this years Nordic Championship in Cuban Salsa 2009. Her style is energetic and feminine. José Luis Pons Sanchez, Cuba/Denmark: Born in Havana 1955. He has danced all of his life. He graduated from E.N.A (Escuela National de Artes) in dance and the popular Cuban dances. After he was employed for a number of years as instructor at Casa de Cultura ”Julian del Casal” in Havana, where he taught cha-cha-cha, son and rumba. Since then he has been instructor at CNSEA (Centro Nacíonal de Superacìon para La Ensenanza Artistica Minesterio de Cultura). he is also the co-founder of the casino dance style and rueda de casino in Cuba in 1970. A competitive dancer for a number of years, he has also been a judge for many years for Salsa dance in Cuba and a supervisor at the yearly “Baila en Cuba”. He is married and lives in Denmark.

Kristina Jørgensen, Denmark: Kristina began to dance salsa five years ago and started to give classes for Team Salsaclave two years later. She puts weight on her own development as a dancer and gets inspiration from travel and workshops both in Denmark and for example Cuba. Kristina has experience of many different dance styles such as cha cha cha, son, reggaeton, hip hop and especially bachata. Bachata has become her speciality during the last years. Kristina has a former career as a member of the national team in taekwondo and she began to instruct when she was only 14 years old. This experience has made technique, timing and movement a natural focus in her instruction. Everything is spiced up with a big portion of humour and a wide horizon. Lester Norona Mesa, Cuba/Sweden: Lester was born in La Habana, Cuba. He started as a dance instructor as part of a cooperation with the University of Cuba. Here he taught different Cuban dances such as casino, cha-cha, mambo, son, rumba, yoruba and reggaeton for three years. He has the classical Cuban feeling for rhythm.
In 2005 he began as an instructor at Via Danza, a well-known dance school in Havana. Since 2007, Lester has been living in Sweden, where he won the Mr. Latin prize in 2008. Today, Lester has his own dance school in Malmø called Lester & Salsame Mucho.

Louise Houlberg, Danmark: Louise has danced all of her life, everything from classical ballet to funk, hip hop, disco and jazz. She got introduced to salsa in 2002 and has since then developed her skills very quickly through her longer stays abroad and travels to Cuba, New York, Miami, Valencia and London. In 2005/2006 Louise lived and danced as one of the principal dancers in Duende Dance Company. In 2009 she won the Nordic Championship in Cuban salsa together with Erodys Castillo.

Maja Hansen, Denmark: Born in 1984, Maja made her debut as professional instructor at Sønder Salsafestival i 2009. Previously she was a competitive disco dancer.
Her specialities include simple, elegant lady styling, and she has a master in cultural studies.

Madelyne "Marisuri" Fandall Garcia Fontaine, Cuba/Switzerland: Marisuri comes from Havana, Cuba, where she has qualifications from a number of different dance academies including E.N.A (Escuela National de Artes), Escuela de bailes Españoles Marta Orquiza and last but not least I.S.A (Instituto Superior des Arte) in Havana. She has taught in all Cuban styles for a number of years in Cuba and in Switzerland (and the rest of Europe). She is a very charismatic dancer. Marisuri’s instruction shows her charisma and understanding of teaching and details. She is especially into Afro Cuban dances both traditional and modern.

Michel Ramirez Napoles, Cuba/Tyskland: Michel had been dancing in different dance companies in Cuba as for example Raises Profunda and Adolfo Gusman. Further Michael had been a very popular dance teacher at the Marisuri Dance School in Havana. Some years ago Michael moved to Hamburg, where he now is one of the most utilized dance teachers at the famous Latin Dance Academy. Michel teaches Cuban salsa at all levels and merenque, bachata, son, rumba and not to mentioning reggaeton.
One of Michels specialties is to: "Spice up your salsa", where he incorporates different styles and make them part of the salsa.
Noydee Fonseca Calvo, Cuba: After her graduation from the Escuela Nacional de Danza Moderna y Folklórica (ENA) in 1995 Noydee continued at the Danza Folklórica de la Facultad de Artes Escénicas del Instituto Superior de Arte (ISA), from where Noydee got her titel in 1999. Noydee continued to teach as instructor in ISA. In spite of her young ages of of 31 year old, Noydee is one of the most experienced teachers in Cuba in afro-Cuban folklore at the highest level. Noydee further works as a consultant with several Cuban dance companies, organized under Centro de Danza Havana. Noydee has several times been teaching and making shows in Europe, specially in Germany. Further Noydee form part of the main instructor staff teaching at the Baila en Cuba festival, with takes places every year in November in Havana.
Ricky Hansen, Denmark: Ricky has danced salsa for more than 15 years and Cuban salsa for more than 13 years. He has lived in Cuba at different times throughout his life for a total of three years in all. Ricky has been initiated in the Afro-Cuban religion Santaria. He focuses especially on the interplay between the man and the woman. Salsa to Ricky is a lot more than just steps and figures. Moreover, according to Ricky, rumba and yoruba are also an important part of Cuban salsa.Ricky himself receives instruction regularly by the Cuban champion Candido Munoz Contreras. This is one of the reasons, combined with his vast experience that Ricky always offers "una salsa rica"!

Roynet Perez, Cuba/Finland: Hello everybody. I am Roynet Perez. I am from Havana, Cuba, where I have won many dance competitions including an international competition. I am a passionate salsa dancer, but I like reggaeton just as much. And then of course the bachata and let me not forget rumba.
As a dancer and instructor I am known as El Monarca. It is very easy to dance and everybody no matter how old or young can learn it. Dancing cleans the soul and as in the chorus of the songs, I believe that everything is possible and that the dreams of yesterday can be transformed into the reality of tomorrow. Ciao. See you soon!

Sofie Bøye, Denmark: Since Sofie began to dance as a three year old she has held dance and entertainment in high regard. She is a former sports dancer and amongst other things performed in diverse films and musicals as a dancer, singer and actor. I the salsa environment Sofie is characterised by her charisma, sense for improvisation, lady styling and show. As an instructor she puts weight technique, style and styling, and she instructs in a professional manner with a very good understanding of the team and the needs of the individual – all spiced up with a great sense of humour. Thomas Nygaard, Denmark: Thomas was born in1973. He has been a salsa instructor since 1996 and teaches Cuban Salsa, L.A. style and bachata on all levels. He is the artistic leader at Academy of Street Salsa in Copenhagen and a salsa judge at nation and international salsa championships.Specialities: Leading techniques and a hip hop influenced dance style. Non dance related specialities: Dip. Ed. in drama, actor and studies in performance.

Salsani, Denmark: Salsani is among Denmark’s best salsa DJs. For the last 4 years, Salsani has been the resident DJ at ”Salsa Camp” the biggest salsa event in the Nordic countries. In 2009 she was responsible for the music at The Nordic Championships in Cuban Salsa. Salsani has played for many Cuban bands such as Pupy, Manolito, Adalberto Alvarez, Elio Reve, Los Van Van, Grupo Danson. Her favourite music style is Cuban – which she mixes with many other genres such as bachata, mambo and cha cha cha. Salsani has published a number of articles on Timba.com and has recently begun to write for Planet Timba with concert reviews and CD reviews.
