Workshop: Salsa Ensemble Band
Description of the workshop program
Salsa Ensemble is the key word of the workshop activity, where we in one week will try to form a homogeneous salsa ensemble band. We will play different cuban styles like son, cha-cha-chá and mambo. Maybe also timba.
During the workshop we will profound our knowledges of the clave (2-3 or 3-2, son or rumba), tumbao, montuno and dynamics in general. At the end of the week we will demonstrate, what we have learned for the other participans at the Camp on a small performance friday 17.30, inaugurating the Gala Party.

You have:
At least 2-3 years of experience on your instrument
Experience playing in an ensemble (if possible)
A good sence of rhythmn
Knowledge of chords and nodes (is an advantage)
Readiness to recieve a tonally and rhythmic challenge.
At the college we have musical equipment including: Song installations, electric piano, guitar and bass, drum kit, timbales, percussion and amplifier for guitar and bass.
Bring with you, your own instrument (and if it is an electric guitar also an amplifier, if possible)
Time period of the workshop: 15-20 hours
